Raffia trivet

Charming pair of beautifully colored raffia trivets. They are made in china, and that could have stopped me from hunting them down, but the labels are not new! One, made of paper, cut by hand, says "made in the peoples republic of china" with even an inscription in ideograms, which still denotes a certain age, probably at the very beginning of massive chinese imports into the 70s or 80s. The other one doesn't seem very recent either. These trivets are in very good condition, clean, the stitching that maintains the shapes is intact, the colors are still very bright, they have probably not been used much. The round one has a diameter of 17.5 cm and a thickness of 1.3 cm, the square measures 18 cm on each side for a thickness of 1.2 cm.
