Black lacquered travel box by jean pierre tahan (1813-1892)

Sublime travel box by jean pierre tahan (1813-1892). This one is black lacquered, decorated with gilded bronze and monogrammed cr on the top. The interior is made up of several compartments covered in burgundy velvet and bears the words "tahan supplier to the king, rue de la paix 30". In good condition, some visible marks and dents, see photo.
