Lighting manufacturer Fase was founded in Madrid in 1964 by industrial designer Pedro Martín. Fase's early designs are considered modern and feature original combinations of metals such as chrome and steel, marble and wood. The lamp presented is the Paralex model created by designer Thomas Diaz Magro. With a resolutely modern and futuristic shape, it has 3 lighting positions. Thanks to an ingenious system of balances and ball joints, it maintains the desired position. It is made of plastic and wood for the structure and chrome steel for the uprights. The white thermoformed plastic reflector which hides the 2 bulbs has a slight curve on the front. The black plastic base cover has cracks but is underneath so cannot be seen. The diffused light is soft, the 3 positions (horizontal, backward, forward) allow different intensities. The whole thing is in very good condition, the lamp has been restored, cleaned and enhanced! Original Fase label on the base Beautiful rare piece of Spanish design from the 60s and 70s, imposing, it will look great on a large desk or a sideboard. Dimensions horizontal position: Height 39cm, Width, 20cm, Length 47cm
