Gargoulette or old jug in provençal terracotta. A gargoulette is a terracotta jug that farmers used in the past to store water, to keep it cool and to drink from it. This word comes directly from the provençal “galgouleto” which means “jug”. This container, typical of the mediterranean regions, has the specificity of keeping fresh water, wine, etc. It is an emblematic object from the south of france (this one is from the var). Old object from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Unique piece with the most beautiful decorative effect.
