Period: ca. 2nd half 20th century a beautiful footed coupe vase with a turquoise crackle glaze. The shape resembles that of an antique leech bowl. The crackle glaze has also been applied to the inside of the bowl which is quite unique and a sign of high quality. There is no maker's mark but it could well be from claude morini, a french ceramist who made similar pieces of this quality in the mid-20th century. The outer glaze has microcrackles, and the noticeable dark lines have been applied under the clear glaze to give an antique crackle effect. Note: colors/shades may vary somewhat; representation depends on lighting conditions, background, screen resolution, etc. In particular, blues/turquoises are difficult to photograph. The turquoise on this lamp is a typical turquoise color. Condition: very good. Dimensions: 27 cm high, ± 20 cm at the widest point.
