African carved ebony lamp, "Hunters, buffalo and crocodile"

Rare and exceptional african wood sculpture (ebony) mounted as a table lamp. Hand-carved by a talented sculptor, in a single block of wood. Representing a group of 5 hunters/warriors with spears sheltering in a tree, above a buffalo attacked by a crocodile. Art makonde, east africa, mid-20th century. New linen lampshade. Excellent condition, redone electricity, 2 missing spears.
