Large and very rare glass table lamp with an elegant shape. Designed by bengt orup, and made of glass from johansfors glassworks sweden for lyfa lighting denmark (signed at the bottom) It is made of transparent glass that goes from clear at the bottom to matt to almost smoke coloured at the top. Part of the tona series 1957. A collaboration between the swedish art glass manufacturer johansfors and the danish lighting company lyfa. Has a brushed steel cap at the top. Made in denmark from handmade swedish glass. Approx. 31 cm high, (38 cm including the socket), and 10 cm wide at the widest point. Fine vintage condition with a few scratches/scuffs and light signs of wear, no cracks, chips or defects.
