Antique dental cabinet, early 20th century

Antique dental cabinet with an original label "ingv. Stokke, dental depot, kristiania". Kristiania is a former name of a capital city of norway (today oslo) that was used from 1877 to 1925. Therefore the piece may most probably come from around 1920s or earlier. The ingv. Stokke was most probably just a dealer and the piece was possibly manufactured in usa by lee smith & sons in pittsburgh, pennsylvania. It features very characteristic nickel hinges and trim as well as the swing out drawers that were like a hallmark of lee smith & sons. The piece is made of solid wood (and is pretty heavy) and features original bevelled glazing made of crystal glass and an original marble top. There are 6 keys attached to this cabinet however they are in original vintage condition and not all of them fit and work perfectly. The piece is after a subtle renovation (change of color from original white to anthracite gray, some handles exchanged) and is in overall good condition with beautiful signs of time and use. A very unique and rare treasure that will be an unusual element of any original interior such as loft, barber shop etc. Among traders called the holy grail of antique medical furniture.
