Description
Wall lamp of glass and brass, produced by danish lamp company, vitrika, in the 1970s. The glass shades are hand-cast in heavy and very thick clear glass, with smooth fronts and textured interiors. Additionally, they have a thin iridescent gold-coloured layer to the interior, wrought by 'fuming' the glass - exposing it to the fumes of super-heated metals, which gives lends a richness to the light coming from the lamps. They simply slide on to the backplates via moulded grooves. The lamp is designed to be hung on the wall by a single screw, hook or nail, Original label to the back of the lamps. glass with a minor chip on one corner shown in last picture ( price is set accordingly ) Height 16 cm. Debth 7.5 cm. There is patina on the brass nothing that altars or shows when lamps are hung.
