Swedese ‘Remus’ arm chair – Yngve Ekström

Swedish design desk or dining chair named ‘remus’, designed by yngve ekström for swedese in the 1960s. This chair is made from a solid oak frame and had a teak veneered triplex back rest, and a leather lower back support. The seat is newly upholstered in a very dark brown soft leather. The chair is in good condition. There are some signs of use, there is a small crack on the bottom of the teak back rest, it has been repaired and is solid again. There was a slight gap near the join of the right arm rest, this has been filled in and coloured to match. The leather lower back support is obviously patinated in a very nice way, the leather is treated and is supple and strong. The oak frame has some small marks that are appropriate to its age.
