This danish ceramic pendant lamp is an impressively large hanging lamp from the 1960s / 1970s. The artistically handcrafted lampshade in the shape of a bell is glazed in the natural color ocher-brown and is held in place by four strands of rope that are wrapped around the lamp cord to form a thick rope. This rope has a total length of approx. 2.30 m and is divided by an attached wooden circle. It is suspended from the strand above the wooden connection. The ceramic canopy attached to the end of the rope is hung up and connected separately. The lateral circles give a pleasant glow. There is no signature or maker's mark. Attribution to axella denmark. Timeless scandinavian mid-century design. The ceiling lamp is originally wired. Lamp socket for e27 bulbs. Condition: there is a chip on the opening of the lamp canopy, see illustration. The lamp is in very good condition with slightly visible signs of age on the rope and wood. Dimensions: total length as shown in the image 120 cm, ø 39 cm, lampshade height 26 cm. Weight: about 6 kg.
