Wonder of true italian ceramics, the one that did not have the mass tourists or their online world wide gift shops in their sights - yes looking at you imported industrial craftsmanship disguised as unique pieces - wonder of the red earth material heavy and dense, turned, decorated with the sole purpose of local and joyful use. These pieces are rare now and will become even rarer - we must take advantage of their intention and their poetry which cannot be copied. Here a wine pitcher. Deruta, famous umbrian village inherited from the etruscans, divinely decorated with matte and shiny enamel, geometry and leaves and this inimitable color half water half grass. And top of the story are two fragments of use under the beak, also inimitable witnesses of a life under the cypresses, filled with fresh wine. Total length 26cm. Maximum height 18cm.
