Description
Superb murano "sommerso" catchall or ashtray designed by flavio poli for seguso vetri d'arte (murano, italy, 1970s). Made of yellow and transparent glass. Perfectly works as an ashtray, a vide poche, a catchall or just as a display piece on any table. Extremely decorative. Length: 8 cm; width: 8 cm; height: 5 cm. Excellent vintage condition. No chips, no cracks, no flea bites. "sommerso" (italian for ''submerged'') is a technique developed in murano in the 1930s which became very popular in the 1950s-70s. The result is a glass with contrasting colours that is commonly cased by a clear layer.
