curved wooden armchair (Cambier or Carton) circa 1900.

Magnificent bentwood armchair from the beginning of the last century. Unfortunately, it does not have a label and if everything about it recalls the know-how of the legendary thonet brand, it is more likely of belgian origin, from the cambier or carton brand (thanks to claude for his expertise). It comes from the same bourgeois residence in the 94 from which several of my furniture currently for sale are taken. Our armchair is an old model, with "old century" elegance. All in lightness and discretion, it still has its original caning which is in very good condition. The backrest is particularly minimalist and highlights the s of the armrests topped with a wood that is also animated (again, no straight line in this piece of furniture). It is very elegant and supports the weight of a person of 90 kilos without batting an eyelid. Some traces of wear, a small offset on a screw of an armrest (see photo) but very anecdotal. Stable and solid, it is in excellent condition. H: 90 cm. L: 54cm. W: 50 cm. Seat: 47 cm.
