Mirror with Floral Etchings

Antique french 19th century louis philippe style gold gilt mirror intricately etched with a design of leaves and flowers and inner bead border. This beautiful antique french gold gilt mirror has the typical rounded upper corners that make it a louis philippe mirror. Louis philippe mirrors, with their clean lines and versatile shape, are a popular choice in traditional or contemporary home settings. The glass is authentic to this mirror and in general good state. The red undercoat of the mirror shines a bit through the gold, part of the design and is giving this mirror a warm glow. The mirror contains the original wooden back cladding. The mirror frame is structurally healthy and the glass is still in a good condition. There are some minor imperfections to the frame, as would be expected with a piece of this age and usage, but this does not in any way detract from its charm.
