French leather and wooden carriage trunk 18th century

French leather and wooden carriage trunk from the 18th century. This was made possible by the parisian company la forest and possibly dates from the 1st half of the 18th century. Completely handmade with wrought iron straps, corner protection, both side handles and the thick leather is secured all around with wrought iron head nails. In the past, a piece was added to the bottom to make it more upright, because originally it was a bit more slanted, probably to allow the water to drain better. It has some old repairs all around due to use and unfortunately 1 lock is missing, otherwise in a very decorative condition.
