Elegant Persian rug, Indo-Isfahan in wool and silk on silk, extra fine quality. Circa 1980. High quality lambswool velvet called “kork” and silk, on a silk foundation. On a midnight blue field appear polychrome floral medallions in the shape of a starry diamond, surrounded by petals and flower buds. A main ruby border with interlacing fine torrential branches, itself framed by seven multicolored flowered counter borders. A rug of rare finesse made with meticulousness and elegance. Its sumptuous colors differ depending on the essence of its exposure to light, to the sun... You will see for yourself in the photos that its velvet changes depending on the viewing angle chosen. Piece of collection. Dimensions: 270x180 cm. Condition: frayed fringes, small white dots visible on the edges at the selvedges. Otherwise it is in perfect condition.
