Portrait of a notable by Auguste bellet

Auguste-emile bellet (1856–1911) was a pupil of cabaud. Member of the french artists, he obtained a mention in 1885. A posthumous exhibition of his works was organized at the salon of 1912. This portrait of 1885 is magnificently made, the humanity of this man with the beautiful eyes is very well rendered. The pictorial quality is real, put at the service of a sober layout. Dimensions frame 55 X 63 painting 27 X 36. This painting is presented in an exceptional gilded wood and carved stucco setting.
