Screw office chair - model N°5701 - Michael THONET

This great classic of office furniture is mounted on a height-adjustable screw base with four arched legs arranged in a cross. The end ends with small skates. The round seat and the oval backrest are openwork with dotted patterns. The canework is in perfect condition. Beautifully curved armrests starting from the top of the backrest, like the famous Le Corbusier armchair n°209. H: 90 cm - W: 60 cm - D: 50 cm. Hollow stamp marking the production from 1860 to 1888.
