Hand-knotted by the berber woman of the high atlas mountains, the carpets are made from raw virgin wool with an alternation of composted patterns of a single knot and one or two woven lines. The writing found on the carpet tells a story, although it is no longer directly related to the woman who created it, they still share traditional scriptures and stories about rural life, femininity, spirituality, motherhood, marriage and careers.
