Description
This microscope dating from the nineteenth century was mounted as a lamp in the 1960s; the mounting rod can be easily unscrewed. Its creator was the house of the boulade brothers, founded in the monplaisir district of lyon in 1856 by claude boulade (1826-1883), optician, physicist and chemist. The company was taken over by f. Gueugnon in 1895 and then by f. Gambas in 1903, whose mark appears on the body of the instrument, which dates from the early twentieth century. In this line, claude boulade's grandsons, léo and antonin, were also passionate about optical instruments, especially for photography and cinema, for which they took many patents. The lampshade is not provided.
