Old Revillon chocolate clock

A wonderful original révillon chocolatier advertising clock, circa 1920. Found by our buyer in a long abandoned french bar, it has been worn from years of neglect with wonderful old cracking and a patina of paint loss and rust. The thin steel hands covered in decades of rust. Originally, the mechanical movement from the famous manufacturer japy freres was largely absent. Our watchmaker has skillfully installed a modern battery-powered quartz movement, while retaining the original hands and winding shaft. The hands are in cut and blued steel with a beautiful original rusty patina, the dial being in painted and enameled steel, deformed, bent and rusted.
