2 superb black & white lithographs by victor vasarely entitled iaca and leyre II. These graphic works, from the geometric and abstract universe of the artist, play on shapes and contrasts to create a dynamic illusion. Made in 1973 from original works made between 1948-54. (see photos on the back) characteristics: artist: victor vasarely (1908-1997) title: iaca, leyre II. Technique: lithograph. Support: 240g paper. Paper size: 36 X 29 cm. They are stamped with a dry stamp of the vasarely foundation in aix en provence. Victor vasarely is considered the father of optical art (op art). His works, characterized by plays on shapes and colors, are exhibited in the greatest museums in the world and still influence many contemporary artists today. The silkscreen prints are without folds or marks because they were kept flat and are therefore in very good condition. They will be shipped protected flat between two mdf boards.
