Faience dish Badonviller model Bagatelle Art Deco decoration early 20th

€25 €30

This large, slightly hollow dish from the faiencerie of badonviller has a lot of charm with its stencil art deco style motifs and its pretty burgundy and navy blue colors on an ecru, off-white background. It will look great on a table to present a mixed salad, a cake, fruit... It is part of the bagatelle collection that some date from the 40s, but according to my information on the shape of the stamp at the back, it would rather date from the very beginning of the 20th century (1900 -1907) because the logo associates the letters t and f which are the initials of théophile fénal who died in 1907 leaving the factory to his son edouard and the logo changes radically from 1923. It is in good general condition, neither crack nor shine, but has small signs of its age: slight gins on the enamelling at the edge of the dish. And two original "defects": a small bump in the flat and the blue border that has a little "drooling" on part of the perimeter. It measures 32 cm in diameter and 4 cm in maximum height.
