Mahogany height cabinet, Art Deco – 1940
Description
Furniture at support height in mahogany from the art deco period. This music cabinet has a top with a miter-cut frame accompanied by interior moldings around the perimeter. This top is dark in one panel. It lifts up to reveal a large storage space originally used for a turntable. On the front and in the upper part of the cabinet, two small doors open with projecting brass knobs. Two large pull pendants allow the opening of these doors. Below, a large miter-cut framed door has a working original panel and lock with key. Inside, we see two adjustable shelves on racks. The uprights of this piece of furniture are slightly rounded and ribbed. Finally, the bottom crossbar and the feet are sculpted in the art deco style. ******* period: 1940 excellent condition after restoration in our workshop. Finish only waxed after stripping.
