Description
Lovely and extremely rare this Louis XVI style mirror wall light in solid gilded bronze whose oval mirror, set with pearls, constitutes the central element of the wall light. It is topped with a knot to which the old gold finish gives relief, shadows and light. Its lower part ends with an element of sculpted leaves that could serve as a handle. Illuminated by two lights carried by two volute arms, it gives off a beautiful impression of symmetry. The lights rest on flared bobeches, also in sculpted leaves taking up the design of the bottom of the mirror. The fine pearl necklace that surrounds them also recalls that of the mirror with great grace and delicacy. The production of a remarkable quality, is carried out according to the most traditional methods, in France, in the workshops of the Lucien GAU house. Dimensions: Height: 34, width: 24 cm, overhang: 14 cm Light source: two standard E14 screw bulbs, preferably of the frosted flame type
