Description
The celtic bol is a characteristic example of quillivic's work of the 1920s, with elaborate surfaces in relatively high relief and sumptuous use of coloured glazes. The design incorporates the medallions, the head of a man and a woman (possibly from saint corentin and a holy woman), a racing dog and two birds that eat the berries. Patina: exterior glazes: siena earth, gold leaf, beige medium, dark green, brown. Interior glazes: pale blue, siena earth and medium brown. Signed in characters written in black hand in the decoration under glaze: hb quimper quillivic 753 p.p. The ceramic is in perfect condition. No fele or breach.
