Description
Superb pegarra or traditional water jug from the south-west in weathered terracotta. Equipped with a handle and a tubular spout, this beautiful popular object, which has become rare today, is in very good condition (no cracks or breaks) and has beautiful visible signs of age and use, notably thanks to limestone. Mate, the one that we can also call dourne has a raw and authentic appearance. This true artisan pottery celebrates the beauty of imperfection and the natural passage of time, making it particularly well suited to creating a wabi sabi atmosphere. It can be used as a container or vase to hold flowers, but when properly displayed, it is sufficient in itself. A magnificent, unique, rounded piece to place on a sideboard, a dedicated base or simply on the floor. Characteristics: south-west origin, probably from the basque country / around 1900 / h 25 xl max 40 xp 36 cm / approximately 5 kg.
