Mid century cocoon desk lamp, Netherlands 1930s

Modernist desk or table lamp. The base is made from a single piece of nickel plated tube. The socket is adjustable in angle and rotatable. Fitted with a cocoon shade in the style of achilles castiglioni. The shade is not original to the base but follows the curvature of the base very well. The shade has a small spot of damage as can be seen on one of the photo's.
