This pair is from the famous series that has been collected for generations (some collectors seek the complete series). From small to large, they include the princess, queen, prince, king and ace. James clews & sons of birmingham designed the diamond series of candlesticks to celebrate queen victoria's diamond jubilee in 1897. Entitled 'ace of diamonds', 'king of diamonds' and 'queen of diamonds'. The designs proved incredibly popular and are widely collected in the usa and the british commonwealth.
