Description
Pair of louis XVI period armchairs stamped in molded and carved lacquered wood. The backs with gendarme hats, connecting dice carved with stylized flowers, rest on tapered and fluted legs. Louis XVI period. Paul-françois jean - seat carpenter. Received master on october 5, 1784. He practiced rue du faubourg-saint-antoine under the name of "saint-esprit". He made luxury seats, with the help of the sculptors joigny, cresson, duclos and mancien. Total height 87.5 cm seat height 40 cm seat depth 47 cm width at armrests 58 cm.
