Pair of Pagholz Galvanitas red chairs 1980
Description
This children's chair from school furniture from the 80s is the result of a remarkable combination of know-how. On one side the gray tubular steel base (with plastic tips) from the Dutch metalworking company Galvanitas and on the other the seat in Pagholz, a brand patented in the 20s in Germany. It is an assembly of sheets of wood and thermoformed resin giving this material great strength, resistance to UV, heat and water. This model is reminiscent of Arne Jacobsen's Hammer chair, an efficient and modern design. The seat has received a different surface treatment with a small grain to prevent slipping. The very beautiful Tibetan red tint (with a hint of orange) energizes this characterful piece of furniture. A few ultra discreet marks of minor wear should be noted (small white stain on the back, wear on a corner of the seat and marbling effect on the backrest). Excellent condition, near new. Price for the pair. Dimensions: L 35 cm XP 30 cm X Ht 53.5 cm (seat 30 cm).
