Huge vintage ribbed & footed glass chemist carboy / apothecary display jar

A very large vintage mouth-blown storage jar fashioned after a traditional chemist’s carboy – a large glass bottle of coloured liquid displayed in chemist windows – made of clear glass with a moulded rib décor to the body. The lid has a tall decorative baluster knop. It likely dates to the 1970s or thereabouts. Nicely finished with polished and chamfered rims to both body and lid, and, in-keeping with the antique aesthetics, the glass has a number of small trapped bubbles throughout. Minor and isolated wear to the glass surface, and some wear to the base, as you’d expect. Otherwise excellent.
