Madeleine LACOURT 1879-1944, Watercolour "Bouquet of peonies" 1900-1920

This beautiful watercolor is signed by the artist madeleine lacourt. It delicately depicts a bouquet of white and orange peonies in a blue vase. Beautifully crafted, the flowers are detailed with realism. A beautiful light bathes the composition. A pretty wash dresses the bottom in a shade of blue, green, gray. This artist-painter lived in reims (1879 - 1944). It is exhibited at the museum of reims. Signed lower right madeleine lacourt, this watercolor is in beautiful condition. It is framed in a delicate oval frame decorated with a frieze of pearls and gilded with the leaf. The frame measures 52 cm X 45 cm. I report scratches and gaps in the molding of the frame (it suffered a shock), as well as traces of wear on the board.
