Coffee service by Hans Théo Baumann
Description
Coffee service by swiss designer hans-theo baumann (1924 - 2016) for thomas rosenthal (since 1903) of marktredwitz, from the 1970s. It is made of fine porcelain in the style of chinese porcelain, it is beautifully made, it is a quality item, it does not have the manufacturing of a popular item. It is decorated with graphic and optimistic patterns, typical of this era, white, red and pink. It includes a coffee maker (24 cm), a milk jug, a sugar bowl and 12 coffee cups. To my knowledge there was no saucer for the coffee cups, in this decade breaking with tradition. All of the 15 pieces that make it up are in factory condition; there remains a quality control label on the bottom of one of the pots. Only the lid of the sugar bowl has a scratch on its top, and one of these cups has a fel (see photos), for the sugar bowl it is not very visible, and it is restorable, as far as the cup is concerned, on the other hand, it is not recommended to use it, but the number of cups is significant compared to what we are used to these days.
