Description
This sideboard is an icon of 20th century Scandinavian furniture. Created in the 1960s by designer Arne Vodder, close to Finn Juhl, it is here in teak and partly in solid wood. The lines and volumes of its trunk are worked with the progressive refinement of the facade uprights and the rounding of the edges and corners. In the center four drawers with solid grip, a small sliding door on the left and a large curtain door on the right so finely worked that the slats cannot be guessed. The straight, tapered base is stylized as a ginkgo leaf. A thin strip finishes the upper shelf for elegant support against the wall. Please note: shocks are present on the sliding door, a repair took place on the upright of the curtain door, and marks of discoloration, the specter of a stamp and undulations are to be deplored on the upper plate. Its general appearance is excellent and extremely attractive, and its structural condition is perfect. The defects described are quickly forgotten in the face of the beauty of this quality piece. For my part, a favorite! Dimensions: l 240 cm x d 50 cm x ht 80 cm.
