12 antique Alfenide knife holders, Charles Halfen, Christofle, Louis XVI style

Superb and rare series of 12 silver plated knife holders. Alfenide manufacturing process, created by charles halfen around 1850. The parisian house halfen was bought by the house christofle in 1888. The "alfenide" and "goat's head" hallmarks date the knife holders between 1850 and 1888. Very good condition, louis XVI style, napoleon III period, to finish cleaning.
