Cheese bell Dinette toy in uranium glass from Portieux Ouraline Dichroic fluorescent green glass

This lovely little cheese bell is made of dichroic green glass. It is a child's toy, referenced in the catalog of glass and opaline factories of portieux vallerysthal (joint catalogs). This dinette bell is marked "portieux". Uraline, or uranium glass, is a uranium glass with a characteristic green-yellow color. Uranium glass has been known since the 19th century and its production was banned in the 1940s. Many objects were made from uraline during this period for the originality of its dichroic yellow-green color. In good general condition, I note traces of the baking mold and small chips on the edges. Dimensions: 6.5 cm and 4.5 cm in diameter.
