French school of the nineteenth century, "L'Aumône", pencil and gouache, nineteenth century

Adorable mid-19th century drawing depicting a scene of almsgiving within a church. The painting in the background depicting saint martin cutting off his coat echoes the symbolism of the sketch.  Condition: with is beautiful original frame (some gaps on it) Provenance: french private collection.
