A superb pair of napoleon III armchairs, in the style of madeleine castaing, in green velvet, maison etro fabric, and trimmings. France, second half of the 19th century. A highly elegant classical style, highlighted by a combination of colours, textures and patterns with undeniable charm. An exquisite pair perfect for distinguished interiors. Comfortable and in excellent condition, apart from some fading of the fabric on the backs of the armchairs. The armchairs were reupholstered in the 1980s. L84, d90, h85cm, seat 40cm.
