Superb series of 7 frames with engravings written in latin from the 17th century the 7 wonders of the world they are in good condition there are just the engravings which are stuck on wood there is a missing window and there are some slight defects (see photos there are 7 frames which measure 59.5 cm wide by 48 cm high and 3 cm thick the engravings measure 50 cm wide by 40 cm high it is really a very beautiful, unusual set - on a frame, the engraving is marked "quintum mirabile mundi magnificum templum dianae ephesinae" - translation "the fifth wonder of the world is the magnificent temple of diana in ephesus" - on another frame, the engraving is marked "septimum mirabile mundi magna turis sharis alexandrini" - translation "the seventh wonder of the world is the great tower of alexandria" - on another frame, the engraving is marked "primum mirabile mundi moenia urbis babolonicae" - translation "the first wonder of the world was the streets of the city of babylon" - on another frame, the engraving is marked "secundum mirabile mundi magnus colossus solis in urbe rhodi" - translation "the second wonder of the world is the great colossus of the sun in the shadow of rhodes" - on another frame, the engraving is marked "quartum mirabile mundi mausoleum ioest magnum mausoli sepulchrum" - translation "the fourth wonder of the world is the great tomb of the mausoleum" - on another frame, the engraving is marked "tertium mirabile mundi pyramides egypti in quibus reges sepeliebanium" - translation "the third wonder of the world is the pyramids of egypt in which the kings are buried" - on another frame, the engraving is marked "sextum mirabile mundi amphitheatrum romanum vulgo culisco" - translation "the sixth wonder of the world is the amphitheater roman".
