Adorable pair of 19th century low chairs. Wood and velvet fabric.

Two adorable low chairs in natural wood from the 19th century, elegantly upholstered in royal blue velvet. They rest on beautifully curved legs richly decorated with floral elements carved in the wood. Thus, a flower comes to rest delicately at the top of the two front legs, thus echoing the one decorated with leaves on the main transverse. The backrest is also animated, and punctuated with floral motifs. This charming classicism is enhanced by the almost electric blue of the upholstery, which gives them a very contemporary, very dynamic look. The seats are webbed (good quality work) and the velvets are in good condition. Solid, perfectly stable, they can be used as occasional chairs in a living room or a hall for example, but also as bedroom chairs, to put down one's clothes, since they go in pairs. Their small size and their slightly "stocky" design give them a presence that is both very feminine and very assertive. There are some signs of wear on the wood and velvet, due to the fact that these are antique pieces of furniture, but they are in excellent condition, ready to use. Sold in pairs only.
