Low fireplace armchair

This original armchair (1885-1946), which places it in time and space as a production of the first half of the 20th century. In straw for the seat (excellent condition of the whole including the mulch), and in lightly stained natural wood, this surprisingly low armchair (seat at 30 cm), rests on a turned, slightly conical cylindrical base. The two armrests at the front are also the feet which they extend to each adjust a bar enclosed at the front, in a small sphere (echoing the one which ends the rear base), and at the rear directly into the conical foot. This so-called fireplace chair (1930s-40s) is no exception and its lines alone are the signature of the product.
