Description
Oil portrait, made in 1916 and signed lower right by Joseph Auguste Brunetton. Some gaps but nevertheless a very beautiful piece. Brunetton Joseph-Auguste (1863-1923) Born in Lyon on February 11, 1863, Joseph-Auguste Brunetton joined the School of Fine Arts, where he received teaching from Michel Dumas (1812-1885). He then went to Paris where he became a student of Gustave Boulanger (1824-1888) at the School of Fine Arts and also a student of the Julian Academy. In the 1880s, he exhibited portraits at the Lyon Society of Friends of the Arts and subsequently presented works to the Lyon Society of Fine Arts. Portraitist, interior and still life painter, his work also includes numerous landscapes full of nuances of light. He died in Paris in 1923.
