Description
This beautiful little coffee cup is made of 19th century english earthenware. It is an adorable espresso cup, small in size (4 cm high X 4.5 cm in diameter), made in england in the wt copeland & sons factory in stoke on trent in the staffordshire region. This factory was created in 1847. This cup is accompanied by its saucer. In molded fluted earthenware, it is decorated with a delightful blue decoration of border friezes and scattered stars and lilies. In good general condition, this cup measures 4cm high X 4.5 cm in diameter and the saucer measures 8.5 cm in diameter. It bears the hollow mark "copeland". I note discreet traces of use: cracks and a hair stain on the enamel, as well as a chip on the cup.
