Ancient traditional Feng Shui geomantic compass

Ancient feng shui pocket geomantic compass. Portable, it is integrated into a red copper heart-shaped flap case. The presence of a small ring at the top of the object was likely to allow a chain to be slipped into it. Around the medallion which contains the magnetic needle and protected by a plate of glass, concentric rings are engraved with numerous ideograms as well as the twelve signs of the zodiac. The engravings are made by hand, using indian ink on a bone dial. On the outside of the shell, the representation of a dragon on the tail side and on the flap hand-engraved floral motifs. Everything is in very good condition and dated to the beginning of the 20th century. Dimensions of the heart 7 X 7 cm, thickness 2 cm. Diameter of the bone piece 4.5 cm, of the dial 1.5 cm. Weight 43 gr.
