2 stoneware bowls Roger Jacques Saint Amand en Puisaye
Description
These two charming bowls with partially glazed stoneware handles come from the pottery workshop of Roger Jacques in St Amand en Puisaye, as evidenced by the hollow stamp underneath. This workshop, passed down through the family from generation to generation, and supplying various pottery to several dozen shops in the 70s and 80s, closed its doors on the death of Roger Jacques in 2001. These two bowls, probably dating from the 60s or 70s, are typical of the production of this workshop with their simple, unadorned design, and especially their beautiful blue enamel. They can be used for multiple purposes: bowl for breakfast, soup or to serve a starter, empty pocket or why not container for beautiful mini-gardens of succulents. They are in perfect condition, nothing to report. They measure 6 cm in height, approximately 14 cm in diameter, 18 cm in width including the handle, and the whole thing weighs 800 g.
