Represents a pretty traditional riverside village, with a cherry tree in bloom in the foreground. Two women calmly walk up the path towards the cottage. On the pontoon, a small boat is moored. Very good quality of execution, oil on panel with a knife. Painter pierre arnaud, born in 1912 in bordeaux, known mainly for landscapes, marine or terrestrial, in a neo-impressionist style. He exhibited regularly at the salon des artistes français from 1935. He is listed in benezit. He is an intimate painter who has always created his works following the codes of neo-impressionism. Neo-impressionism is a style of painting that appeared at the end of the 19th century, between impressionism and symbolism.
