Pulcina coffee maker for Alessi by Michele de Lucchi

Pulcina espresso coffee machine designed by michele de lucchi (born 1951) in 2015 for alessi in collaboration with illy. The shape of the machine is inspired by the body of a ''pulcina'' (chick in italian). The pulcina espresso coffee maker is made of aluminum which serves as an excellent heat conductor and gives a characteristic flavor to the espresso prepared in pulcina thanks to the seasoning of the inner walls of the coffee maker with a thin film of coffee. The coffee prepared with pulcina has a fuller and rounder flavor than that prepared with a stainless steel coffee maker. The wonderful layered effect on the outside is the result of the alternating thickness of the walls to facilitate heating and cooling. The coffee that comes out is very good.
