Plywood swivel lounge chair "Mr. Chair" by George Mulhauser for Plycraft, 1959

The classic swiveling lounge chair was designed by George Multiuser in 1959 for Plycraft Inc. in United States and produced there in 1965. This rare example of "Mr. Chair" model is extremely comfortable and stylish. This chair has continuous molded walnut plywood frame and form-fitted, naugahyde upholstery on a tilting, five-pronged metal base. Tilting swive functions smoothly and chair swivels smoothly. Signed with original manufacturer’s label. This vintage item remains fully functional, but it shows sign of age through scrapes, chips, dried. The metal base has been altered. The chair is little curved.
